Site Down!

Well, the support group at our hosting server decided to do a nice big update that totally crashed our system. My domain as well as about 20 others were crippled. The whole system had to be completely redone and now it is on a different system with a different look. The forum still isn't working right to date. I like the new layout of the content though, it allows for that great 'Next article' feature at the bottom of each page, and I don't have to do anything about it!

Other than that, it's been a real busy time. Too many irons in the fire. The P-trap in my upstairs laundry room froze and my washer flooded the kitchen ceiling. Insurance came in and had the ceiling repaired and they tore up the whole subfloor in the bathroom and replaced it. I'm not impressed with State Farm though. In the kitchen, 1/3 of the ceiling fell. They had the repair company that they pushed replace only that drywall and then retextured the whole ceiling. It doesn't look to nice and I can't believe they did it that way. I'm going to be changing insurance companies very soon.

I have a friend whose water line broke while they were in California. The whole kitchen is getting replaced, not to mention flooring and trim. They even get reimbursed for eating out since their kitchen is down. No treatment like that for me, no sir. It's like pulling teeth to get State Farm to pay for anything. There was also some misinformation about if State Farm can push a certain contractor to doing the work. Turns out they can't. Oh well, I'm standing back to see how it all turns out.
